The growth of Luisetti Seed’s export department has created opportunities for promotions within the business, allowing three of our talented team to step up into new roles.
Cameron Lepper, who featured in the March Grain of Truth as our Rangiora-based van driver, has taken on the role of Rangiora Branch Manager, replacing the well-known and highly-respected Mark McNicholl.
Mark is moving into the export department to help long-time employee Murray Parker, who has been running the department on his own.
As Luisetti Seeds exports have grown, Murray’s workload has increased exponentially, hence the need to make use of Mark’s knowledge and skills in this department.
Murray and Mark will be supervising the arrival of all containers, especially stock seed for off-season multiplication and will be arranging the dispatch of containers from Rangiora and Ashburton to Luisetti Seeds’ customers in various parts of the globe.
This means the pair will be dealing with international shipping lines, the company’s overseas customers and ensuring seed is tested according to the standards of the importing country.
With Cameron stepping up to the role of Rangiora Branch Manager, where he will be responsible for supervising all store staff, overseeing all dispatches and seed cleaning operations, the role of van driver has become vacant.
Joanna Ford has taken over the keys, having been promoted from her previous role as casual storeperson. Joanna has been with Luisetti Seeds for around two years and has proven to be very reliable, hard-working and respected member of the Luisetti Seeds’ staff.
