We are delighted to announce the appointment of Henry Norris as a trainee field representative for the Mid/North Canterbury areas.
Henry comes to us after spending three years at Lincoln University where he completed a B.Com(Ag) degree. Prior to this he attended Christchurch Boy’s High School. He has a strong interest in plant science and completed a number of seed and plant science related papers while studying at Lincoln.
Henry is heavily involved in competitive swimming at a national level, competing in both pool and open water distance events. Training under the guidance of Carl Gordon at the Ashburton Community Pool, Henry spends up to 20 hours per week in the water. His upcoming races include a 10km open water swim at Lake Hood in December, then Nationals at Lake Taupo in January. When not busy training, Henry enjoys spending spare time hunting with friends.
As part of the practical component of his degree, Henry has worked for Stapletons during holiday breaks from Lincoln over the past couple of years. During the next 12 months Henry will be involved in a wide range of duties to gain the skills and knowledge required to become a successful agent. He is currently the head of the roguing team and will also spend time visiting clients accompanied by Luisetti Seed’s and Stapleton’s representatives before assisting Mark Frampton in the Luisetti Seeds weighbridge office during harvest.
