IMPORTER OF THE YEAR AWARD
In 2001, Luisetti Seeds was one of three finalists in the American Chamber of Commerce New Zealand importer of the Year Award. Our nomination was based on the importation and marketing of American freezer pea varieties.
HELEN CLARK VISITS LUISETTI
The former Prime Minister, the Honourable Helen Clark, visited Luisetti Seeds in 2002 to open our new storage facility. In her address she congratulated us on our successful partnership with Plant & Food Research.
JOHN KEY OPENS NEW OFFICES
In September 2007 John Key (Prime Minister of New Zealand) opened our new offices. Addressing a gathering of around two hundred clients and friends he emphasised the importance of companies such as Luisetti Seeds in providing the infrastructure the rural community and the country’s economy relies on.

PADDOCK OF THE YEAR 2009
Congratulations to Greg and Sue Tucker, winners of the Luisetti Seeds ‘Paddock of the Year’ for 2009. Greg and Sue farm an intensive cropping property at Springston.
The winning crop was a 9.6 hectare paddock of Wakanui feed wheat, with a very impressive yield of 13.8 tonne per hectare.

STAPLETONS LTD
In April 2009 Luisetti Seeds purchased the business of Stapletons Ltd, Ashburton.
Stapletons Ltd is a well established seed dressing and seed trading business located in Ashburton. Stapletons has a substantial customer base in mid Canterbury. It has a long history of trading and is a well known business in the Ashburton area.
