We’d like to welcome Chris Tyson to his new position as our new Seed Manager at Luisetti Seeds.
Chris will be stationed at the front desk and has taken over from the very long-serving Ken Townley who is now enjoying his third month of retirement.
Chris worked in the agricultural sector for 14 years before moving into the seed industry. His last on-farm position was Stock Manager on Mt Catherine in Cheviot – an intensive bull beef fattening farm running 1200 bulls. Chris joined the seed industry after moving to Oxford in 2013, working for Wesco Seeds in Cust.
Since then, Chris has found his niche in the seed industry and joined Luisetti Seeds in 2017, initially working in chemical delivery. Prior to Christmas, Chris was working on modifications to our seed mixing department.
We’re delighted to introduce him as our Seed Manager in 2019. With his background in farming sheep, beef and deer, Chris has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to pastures for stock.
In his spare time Chris is an active member of the Oxford and Districts Lions Club. He and his wife Rachel have two boys, Victor (10) and Henry (8). His family live at Glentui on a lifestyle block, which keeps them all busy!
